Open Schedule in the sidebar. What you see depends on your role: students get their own schedule, and school staff get the whole school's calendar.
If you are a student
The page opens with your Next Flight, then four tabs:
- My Schedule lists your Upcoming Lessons. Once you have past flights, a Past Flights card appears below, collapsed. Open it with its button, which reads Show and a count, for example Show 3.
- Calendar View shows your flights, your requests and open slots on a calendar.
- Find Availability searches for times you can ask for.
- My Requests shows the flight requests you have made.
To ask for a flight, see Book a flight.
If you are school staff
The calendar has three views, switched with Month, Week and Day above the calendar. On a phone it opens on Day, because a month is too wide to read.
- Use the arrows beside the date to move forward or back, and Today to jump to today.
- In Month, click a day's number to open all of that day's flights in a panel. If you can create flights, clicking the empty part of a day starts a new flight instead.
- In Week, click a day's heading to open it in Day view.
- In Day, each aircraft has its own column, so you can see which aircraft are free.
- Click any flight to open its details. The panel then shows just that flight, with a Show all button for the rest of the day's flights.
If a day has nothing booked, the panel says No flights scheduled for this day.
What the colors mean
The legend under the calendar lists the states a flight can be in:
- Open: an unbooked slot.
- Scheduled: booked.
- Awaiting approval: a request that is still waiting for an instructor or the school to approve it.
- In progress: the flight is under way.
- Completed: the flight is done.
- Cancelled: the flight was cancelled. It is struck through.
Each state also differs in its shape or label, not just its color.
Filter the calendar
Above the calendar, Filters narrows what you see:
- Aircraft, Instructor and Student are pick lists you can search.
- The date range takes a Start date and End date.
- Clear all removes your filters.
- Show cancelled flights turns cancelled flights on or off.
If the calendar says it couldn't load
A message that says Couldn't load the schedule does not mean nothing is booked. Choose Try again before you read the calendar as empty.
